Christian Ohde works as a photo designer and press photographer in Hamburg. With his camera he draws loving portraits of his Hanseatic hometown. In addition, he likes to take on the challenge of developing creative image ideas for current and visually demanding political, economic and everyday topics and to translate them into symbolic images. In doing so he relies on a wealth of professional equipment and several curiosities in his own photo studio. Ohdes grandfather once awoke the enthusiasm for photography, presenting the then 8-year-old a pocket camera. After studying sociology, the young photographer first worked for Hamburg photo agencies and press photographers as well as for daily newspapers and agencies. At the beginning of the new millennium, he finally took the step and ventured into self-employment. Still today, Christian Ohde benefits from his experience with analogue photography - especially from the insight that it takes time for the right moment, the right frame, the special motif.
