Falk Herrmann, born and raised in 1966 in Dresden, originally wanted to be a painter. However, following his studies in Cultural Sciences he discovered his talent for photography, by means of which he now enthusiastically documents his love for nature. Falk Herrmann has a preference for romantic and mysterious landscapes, which he likes to capture using long time exposure. Just like painters do, Falk Herrmann experiments with light in his images. Even in macro shots he works with interesting refractions and reflections. Describing moods is important for him. According to Falk Herrmann "Photography is also a journey in time with an opportunity of retaining it".
