Thomas Ebelt was born in 1960 in a small town near Cuxhaven in northern Germany. He now lives in Mölln and works as a water customs officer in Hamburg. Since he once borrowed an underwater camera during his diving holiday in Egypt in 1996, photography has been a constant source of inspiration for him – and so he has made it his second professional pillar. With his full-format DSLR and his photo drone, he frequently travels the port of Hamburg and the coasts of the North and Baltic Sea. During his holidays he also likes to travel to other countries, preferably Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Wales and Portugal. The portfolio of his colour-intensive photographs is diverse and ranges from travel and landscape photography to nature and architecture shots. Thomas has already realized several photo book projects and received numerous awards in photo competitions.
