After having traveled to Cuba for over ten years, Figueredo decided to change his life. He left everything behind except his Leica Camera and went to Havana, where he lives now. As a permanent resident he really knows the people and has access to unique locations and venues - an ultimate requirement for vibrant photos. Figueredo did not go public with his own style of photography before August 2014. Eventually, LFI (Leica Fotografie International) Magazine became aware of his work and published the series „Cámara de Tortura“ about the pumping iron scene in Havana Figueredo gained all his photographic knowledge from scratch. He knows Cuba’s most beautiful places and loves capturing typical yet unusual scenes.
