Herbert Böttcher

"The environment is the stage for my photographs, it challenges me to formulate in pictures what is not visible. Expressing these inner landscapes is my motivation as a photographer" (Herbert Böttcher). Herbert Böttcher, born 1962, lives in Düsseldorf and has been a passionate, professional photographer for over twenty years. Böttcher's trademark is his unmistakable visual language - his basis is his artistic attitude to the environment. His way of working is characterised by absolute concentration, a well thought-out concept, sincere enthusiasm and a feeling for the components of time and light. The results are works of aesthetic continuance in the fields of industry, landscape, architecture, aerial photography and shipping. Herbert Böttcher first successfully studied Visual Communication at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Photography and Film Design. He then taught for several years in the Department of Art at the University of Paderborn. As a photographer he has done commissions for well-known companies and institutions from both Europe and the USA.
