Katrin Frohns, born in Osterode in the Harz mountains in 1986, lives in Braunschweig, Germany. As a child of travel and photography enthusiastic parents, she experimented with her own camera at a very early age. At the age of 18 she intensified her hobby with her first SLR camera and extended her knowledge with photo seminars at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin. Soon and rather by chance, Katrin discovered her passion for abandoned and forgotten places, so-called Lost Places. For her, it is precisely this decay and morbidity that has a high aesthetic value. On her photo travels, however, she is not only in search of abandoned places, but is also enthusiastic about landscape and travel photography.
