Mark Robertz's passion is landscape photography. In his images, he documents landscapes in their manifold manifestations - between the North and Baltic Sea coast and the Alps, between the Arctic ice and the Arabian or Persian deserts. His focus is on how landscape is formed by nature on the one hand and how it is shaped by human use and culture on the other. On city trips, Mark likes to follow the art, culture and architecture of past eras. Born in the Flensburg, Germany, the photographer now lives and works in Augsburg. Also, as an author, he dedicates himself to the subject of landscape, especially the discovery and perception of landscape spaces. Mark's understanding of landscape is that of a bridge connecting outer and inner nature, "similarly to the way we often seek outside what we experience inside".
